About Us

From Our Family Recipe Book to North Idaho Locals
IMG_9972.jpg

Our family has been catering for friends and family for years now, and have finally followed the calling in our hearts to share it with others.  We moved here in 2021with the understanding that Northern Idaho was to bring us a new lifestyle, with new friends, and so many opportunities...and we have not been disappointed!  Being here has opened the doors to the start of Smokin Glory BBQ - and we couldn't be more thankful to those who made it possible.

Nearly each and every item and component on the menu is made by us - filled with love, perseverance, and the thought of you!  We spend hours on our meats, using techniques we've practiced and mastered over the years, thanking our mentors who have spent countless hours showing us their ways.   From trimming the meat ourselves, to rubbing them by hand, to hours on the Santa Maria Barbecue or the smoker, we love it because you love it!  All our rubs, marinades, and sauces are homemade, adding a unique flavor to our meat and knowledge of what our food contains.

Smokin Glory BBQ & Catering, LLC was born in 2022 as a mobile food truck in Rathdrum, Idaho.  Over the course of this past year, we have been blessed with customers, and are now taking the leap of faith to expand into a larger building.  This venture will allow for more menu options as well as more bookings and the fact that you can count on us to serve the best barbecue in the area!  In addition to our new wholesale venture, we primarily do catering.  From 20 people to 750 people, we can do it!  We are flexible and love to make our food work fit your event, so give us a try and you won't regret it!  From weddings, to funerals, to summer parties, and corporate meals - we do it all!  Thank you for checking us out and we look forward to serving you up some finger-lickin' good barbecue!

Our Inspiration

One of the fundamental components of our story begins with a tragic accident -  one that nearly cost the life of Greg Way.  Back in 2018 he was a contract bulldozer operator for CalFire, and when things took an unexpected turn, he was crushed between the tracks and the fender of his dozer.  One wouldn't think anyone could make it out alive, let alone still in one piece.  However, God is faithful, and He healed him!  No broken bones were discovered, even though he went through the 4-inch gap of a mechanical beast, and he lives to share his testimony with others.

This accident really pushed our family to dedicate our lives to God, and that His plan is the best one we could ever have.  With that, we opened a business for His GLORY (get it, Smokin Glory!), and we use it to share the the goodness of God - even when it seems the most dark and dismal of times.  God is good, and that is our mission!
