About the Role

Join us on the road as a Food Truck Helper! If you enjoy working outdoors and interacting with customers while serving great BBQ, this is the job for you. You’ll help with food preparation, serving customers, and keeping the food truck in tip-top shape.

Requirements

Limited opportunities, preference given to Catering Deliverers and Servers. Shifts are published on an on-going basis. Open Shifts can be claimed on a First Come, First Serve basis unless other arrangements have been made. Shifts start 5/29/2025 and go through 12/31/25. Available shifts and hours are not guaranteed.


Basic Job Responsibilities, Requirements, Essentials, and Compensation:

  • Responsibilities:

    • Assist with food prep and cooking in the food truck during events.

    • Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization inside the food truck.

    • Ensure food safety protocols are followed in a busy environment.

    • Assist with setting up and breaking down the truck for events.

    • Handling money and taking orders.

  • Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50lbs on occasion).

    • Ability to stand for up to 6 hours at a time.

    • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing, professional attitude.

    • Must be available for weekends and evenings.

    • Ability to work well with teams.

    • Ability to handle stressful situations, in a fast-paced environment.

    • Quickly shift and adapt to changes in the plan.

    • No painted nails, must be kept cleaned and trimmed.

  • Essentials

    • Must be at least 14 years old to be a server.

    • Must be at least 16 years old to cook or prepare food.

    • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive.

    • Will regularly be driven and/or driving to events up to 90 minutes away.

    • Willingness and Ability to get a Food Handlers Card

  • Compensation

    • Starting Pay:

      • $12/hour for all employees 14-17

      • $15/hour for all employees 18+

    • Tips:

      • All tips get pooled and split between everyone who worked on the job, including BBQ Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Catering Serves/Deliverers.

    • Food: 1 meal is included per meal time per shift (ex. an evening job would have 1 dinner included, and a full day job would have 1 lunch and 1 dinner included), and can be taken from our stores or traded with another food vendor at an event. Subject to availability of food.
