About the Role
As an Operations Assistant, you'll focus on keeping our facility clean, organized, stocked, and running smoothly. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to the success of our catering and food truck operations. You'll help maintain inventory, organize storage areas, restock supplies, place online orders, and ensure our kitchen and shop spaces are clean and ready for the team. While this position does not involve preparing food or operating BBQ equipment, your work directly supports every event, catering job, and customer we serve.
Requirements
This is a seasonal position running from May through October. Typical scheduling is approximately 10 hours per week, with the possibility of continuing year-round at a reduced schedule of 5-10 hours per week based on business needs and employee performance.
This position follows a regular weekly schedule rather than an open-shift claim system. Work is generally performed on Mondays and/or Tuesdays, as well as Fridays, though exact scheduling may vary based on business needs and catering volume.
Basic Job Responsibilities, Requirements, Essentials, and Compensation:
Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including bathrooms, kitchen spaces, storage areas, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, sanitize, and perform general cleaning tasks.
Monitor inventory levels of supplies, paper products, cleaning products, and disposable goods.
Place supply orders online as directed by management.
Restock inventory, supplies, and storage bins.
Organize shelves, storage areas, and equipment to maintain efficiency and cleanliness.
Assist with labeling, inventory counts, and tracking supplies.
Take out trash and recycling as needed.
Assist with miscellaneous operational tasks and projects as assigned.
Prepare the facility for upcoming catering events by ensuring supplies, disposables, and storage areas are stocked, organized, and ready for service.
Coordinate with laundry and linen service providers, including receiving deliveries, verifying orders, organizing inventory, and ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs on occasion).
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Essentials
Must be at least 16 years old.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Ability to use a smartphone, computer, or tablet to assist with inventory management and online ordering.
Compensation
Starting Pay:
$12/hour for all employees 14-17
$15/hour for all employees 18+
Performance reviews and wage increases may be considered based on reliability, initiative, and quality of work.
