Rathdrum, our first home

To many, Rathdrum is a little town that you pass through on Highway 53 in Northern Idaho, but for us, it was the home to many of our first customers.

We thought we had a location lined up in Post Falls, but that quickly fell through. We were on the lookout for a place that would be willing to accept a food truck without the exorbitant rent we just couldn't afford. Our answers to pray were the folks of The Grounds coffee at the corner of Highway 53 and N Chase Road. They were looking for a food truck to help bring attention to their new stand, and it was a win-win for us both!

Starting in the beginning of June of 2022, we were there 3-5 days a week. We met tons of truckers passing through, lots of commuters on their way home from work, and we discovered that so many people live in Rathdrum north of Highway 53 - and they discovered us as well! During the time that we were there, we expanded our menu with the invention of the 'Chef's Special' - a tri-tip and pulled pork sandwich smothered in grilled onions and cheese, explored the world of catering, and had tons of fun. Being there opened the doors to eventing, which allowed us to move around with our trailer all throughout the city and bring our barbecue to you!

The Invention of the Loaded Sliders

Our tri-tip sliders loaded with our nacho toppings - nacho cheese sauce, barbecue sauce, sour cream, green onions, and jalapenos. Inspired while at the Rathdrum Farmers Market at the Rathdrum Lions Club.

Our Food Truck Aesthetic

We are always playing around with what we display, but we've seemed to settle with our business cards, free stickers, and a jar of our homemade barbecue sauce! Not to mention the iconic tip jar where all funds go towards the "Help Us Pay Rent" Foundation!

One of our favorite spots to be in Rathdrum is at the Rathdrum Lions Club for the craft and farmers markets that happen in the Spring, Summer, and Fall! Here we like to experiment with new menu items like Tri-TIp Breakfast Burritos!

We were asked to do this for the Sandpoint Renaissance Faire so we gave them a try at the Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market! Word on the street is that they were delicious!
